Classic Expired

Hiya,
I got some good news and bad news. I wanted to start up the server again (this is what, the 6th time now? xD). Well, for the first 15 minutes the server ran successfully; but my laptop died on me. When that happened, the server died also. I powered up my laptop after finding the power supply and discovered that YouCraft needed an upgrade. I was like, "Whooo hooo!"
BAD MISTAKE. MCForge is ending the classic project and thus will not support classic. They still say you can use the classic software. On to the bad news....
YouCraft will not update. Since I started it, now it wants to finish it - which it can't. Bummer...

Have you tried using a different host thingy xD, What you use to use before, Forgot what it's called
If that doesn't work then I have no idea, Maybe you need to re-download MCForge?. I have no idea, sorry.
I could look into it, Sorry I took ages, keep forgetting about this and Venture forums .

Or and make sure you make the image a bit smaller , When you upload it or what ever .

I might have some of the old software? I downloaded the server sometime a year ago. Could I possibly give it to you?

So what's the deal with running it, You have a timetable or something?, Or just running it
when you want to :/?. Because I could come on now and then but if you just running it at
random times then I wont know when to come on . And Venture lava survival might
be running 24/7 very shortly, My friend is working on it . That's if he doesn't have any
problems

Well, I consulted my dad about how to fix it. He recommended replacing everything with new server files. I didn't want to lose the data (block count, login times, etc.) I fixed it somehow by just replacing the original .dll's. Everything is fine now. My laptop's running the server so whenever I have it out, the server's online. I don't get home till after 6 usually. Because of the time, I don't put the server up (no one comes online that late :/). When I get home tonight, I'll post a schedule of times. By the way, I'm removing the admin ranks. There will still be one rank, with a limit on how many can have that rank. THIS TAKES TO LONG TO WRITE ON MY LOUSY PHONE... I've talked to a few old admins so they know the server is back, but I haven't seen them since. Next topic, I have over enough money to buy a real computer to run the server 24/7 but that still won't help when I only get around 4mbps internet on a good day.

So does that mean I'm not admin anymore?. also you know I stay up late xD. Well just skype me when everything is up and running. Or and btw, try using a ps3 to type xD, I'ts worse

This weekend is a definite I guess. Pretty much every weekend till May, with the exception of the 27th (SpringFling thingy). I'll let y'all know if anything else comes up.
And you'll still be an admin. I just meant that there will only be one rank. Probably Staff. It'll be the same cmds and stuff.

I advertise this one. But when I question some of the other Admins, they admit to not checking the forums.

give them a spacific reason to. no admin ranks allowed if you aren't actively on the forums. also we need some events or building contests on the site so people can look for those too!

I agree. How about you be the one in charge of that stuff? What about the rewards system?

Well if you want I could set up events on posted dates like; 'Who can build the best pixel art' or maybe have a joke of the day or pundle.

btw how big was that picture b4 you resized it Stu? I took it with my Samsung Galaxy S2 XD

Well with doing pixel art, we'd have to make sure they didn't use imageprint. I'd probably change it to admin or owner.

Oh, and the server won't be up for a little bit tomorrow morning (GMT -5, of course). I'll be working on a Health project for most of the morning and will need my laptop with me.

Well, I'm going to be on the range all day tomorrow and probably doing other things in the early afternoon so I'll try to get on tomorrow night.

Okay, by tomorrow you mean Saturday or Sunday? You wrote that early this Saturday morning so I wasn't sure.

Liz, don't try to confuse me with time. When the sun comes up then it's the next day xD.

So yeah I'll be at the range today and I still can't get java v6 to work :3. I'll have to watch some videos but I think I screwed up my whole HD -_-
